Third Year at Perris Hill
The 3rd Annual NAC Community Pickleball Tournament filled the courts at Perris Hill Park in San Bernardino on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The Neighborhood Association Council of San Bernardino (NAC) ran it, and Video Cartel was there with cameras, a drone and a photographer from the first serve through the medal ceremony.
It was a warm one. The divisions were full, and everybody came ready to compete.
A Division for Every Level
The tournament ran round robin in men's, women's and mixed doubles, for skill levels 2.5 through 4.0. New this year was a community fun division, so the day was not only for tournament regulars. Neighbors who just wanted to play got a bracket of their own.
That is the point of the event. It brings people from across the city to one place and gives them a reason to cheer for each other.
Bringing Perris Hill Back
The recap also covers what the Perris Hill Pickleball community is working on next. They have a revitalization campaign with the City of San Bernardino to upgrade the Perris Hill Park Pickleball and Tennis Center.
Sam Catalano, the community's ambassador, has spent the last three years building the vision and the plan for that upgrade. It includes a proposed "Touch the Sky" urban trail loop at the park. The details are at pickleballsanbernardino.com.
