Privacy Policy

Video Cartel (“Video Cartel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a video production and marketing company based in San Bernardino, California. This policy explains what we collect when you visit videocartel.net or work with us as a client, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
Only what the site and our services actually need:
- Information you give us directly — your name, email address, phone number, business name and whatever you describe in a contact form, booking request, project brief or freelancer application.
- Booking details when you schedule a call, including the time you choose and any notes you add.
- Basic usage measurement. Our analytics are first-party and set no cookies: a page path, a referrer, a coarse screen size and an approximate region. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell this.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, including IP address, for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers on this site. When a payment is due it is handled by our invoicing and payment processors, who receive those details directly. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Connected social accounts
Clients may authorize Video Cartel to publish to their social media accounts on their behalf — for example LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram. When you connect an account:
- We receive an access token from that platform. It is stored encrypted and used only to publish, schedule and report on content for the account you connected.
- We request the narrowest permissions needed to post and to read back basic performance figures. We do not read private messages and we do not post without the account owner having scheduled or approved the content.
- We do not use your social data to train models, and we do not share it with other clients or third parties.
- You can disconnect an account at any time, from the platform itself or by asking us. Disconnecting revokes the token and we delete our stored copy.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry and quote the work.
- To deliver the project you hired us for and support it afterwards.
- To send transactional messages such as booking confirmations, invoices and project updates.
- To send our newsletter, only if you asked for it. Every edition has a working unsubscribe link.
- To understand which pages and articles people find useful, in aggregate.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers to run the business — website hosting, email delivery, scheduling, accounting and social publishing. They process information on our behalf and only for that purpose. We also share information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone else’s safety.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and project records are kept while we work together and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Analytics are kept in aggregate. Social access tokens are deleted when an account is disconnected.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to deletion, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections, limit who on our side can reach client data, and store credentials in managed secret storage rather than in code. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we will tell you.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, tell you directly.
