These terms cover your use of videocartel.net and the services Video Cartel provides. By using the site or hiring us, you agree to them. Video Cartel is a video production and marketing company based in San Bernardino, California.
Using this site
You may browse the site, read the Vault, and submit enquiries. Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems, and do not scrape it for commercial reuse.
Work we do for you
Each engagement is defined by its own quote, proposal or statement of work, which sets the scope, the price and the schedule. Where that document and these terms disagree, that document wins.
- Invoices are due on receipt unless the quote says otherwise. Larger projects are commonly split, with a deposit before work begins and the balance on delivery.
- A deposit reserves production time and is non-refundable once scheduling or pre-production has started.
- Revisions are limited to the number stated in the quote, typically two rounds per cut. Additional rounds are billable.
- Timelines assume you supply what the project needs — access, footage, approvals, information — reasonably promptly.
Ownership of the work
On full payment, you own the final delivered files for the use described in the quote. Video Cartel retains ownership of project files, raw footage and working assets unless the quote says they transfer. We keep the right to show finished work in our portfolio and marketing unless you ask us in writing not to.
What you supply
You confirm you have the rights to anything you give us to use — logos, footage, music, images, trademarks and the likeness of anyone appearing. You are responsible for claims arising from material you supplied.
Accounts you connect
If you authorize us to manage or publish to your social accounts, you confirm you are entitled to grant that access. We will use it only for the work you engaged us for. You can revoke it at any time, from the platform or by telling us.
Cancellation
Either side can end an engagement in writing. You are responsible for work completed and costs committed up to that point. Shoots cancelled on short notice may carry a fee where crew or equipment was already booked.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee particular business results, view counts, follower growth, rankings or revenue. The site and the Vault are provided as is, for general information.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Video Cartel is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the engagement the claim relates to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of San Bernardino County.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version, and continued use of the site means you accept the revised terms.
