Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to ask Video Cartel to delete information we received from Facebook or Instagram through the Video Cartel app. It applies to business owners who connected a Facebook Page or Instagram account to a Video Cartel Command Center, and to anyone whose public comment or post appears in one.

What we may hold

The access token Facebook issued when a Page was connected, kept on our servers only.
The connected Facebook Page name and ID, and the linked Instagram account ID and username.
Posts from that Page or Instagram account and the comments on them: the text, the commenter name or username Facebook or Instagram returned, the time, and a link back to the original.
Recent public Instagram posts found for hashtags the business chose to follow.
Notes our client’s team added in the Command Center, such as marking a comment saved, replied or dismissed.

We do not receive passwords, private messages or payment information through this connection.

How to request deletion

Email jp@videocartel.net with the subject line “Data deletion request” and include:

If you connected an account: the Facebook Page or Instagram account name, and the email address you use with Video Cartel.
If you commented on a business’s post: your Facebook name or Instagram username, and a link to the comment or post if you have it.

We will delete the matching data within 30 days and email you when it is done. If we need more detail to find your data, we will ask you before the 30 days are up.

Remove the app yourself

You can also cut off our access at any time, without waiting for us:

Facebook: Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations (or Apps and websites). Find Video Cartel and choose Remove.
Instagram: Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. Find Video Cartel and choose Remove.

Removing the app stops any new data from reaching us right away. Email us as well if you want the data we already stored deleted.

What happens when we delete

We remove the access token, the account details and every post, comment and note tied to that account or to you from our systems. We keep only a short record that the request was received and completed, so we can show that it was handled.
