Born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, Gene Howell grew up immersed in a family of entrepreneurs, learning the ropes of small-business ownership from an early age. With a passion for creating meaningful connections, Gene’s journey has taken him from modeling and acting in Los Angeles to co-founding one of the largest privately owned urgent care networks in the country. Post-pandemic, Gene relocated to Palm Springs, where he continues to thrive as a business owner, running his medical billing company, Snap Healthcare.
Now as a co-host of The Desert Brew, Gene brings his entrepreneurial insight and love for storytelling to the forefront. The show allows him to explore the vibrant Palm Springs community, highlight small businesses, and inspire others to embrace their passions. For Gene, it’s never too late to live your dreams—and his journey is proof that age is just a number when it comes to pursuing your passions.
